Calibre’s Whitewater Team played a pivotal role in the development of the South Saint Vrain Creek Watershed Master Plan, a significant project initiated after the devastating floods of September 2013. Our team provided expertise in hydraulic engineering, geomorphological assessments, and stormwater management solutions, ensuring a science-based approach to the restoration of the watershed.
By collaborating closely with Boulder County and the Saint Vrain Creek Coalition, we facilitated the creation of an all-encompassing master plan that incorporated community input and ecological needs. Unique features included a focus on habitat restoration and in-stream recreation opportunities, bolstering both economic growth and environmental health.
The Watershed Master Plan emerged as a regulatory guideline, enhancing the community’s resilience against future flooding while promoting an active, outdoor lifestyle.
