Calibre’s Whitewater Team played a key role in the successful recovery project following the devastating 2013 floods that impacted St. Vrain Creek. This project focused on restoring a resilient, multi-stage river channel across various creek sections, ensuring natural sinuosity and sustainable ecological balance. Our services included extensive public engagement, watershed evaluation, and computer floodplain modeling to safeguard local residences from potential flooding.
Notably, our team engineered detailed stage design plans encompassing grading, engineered walls, and habitat restoration. Our expertise also facilitated the acquisition of necessary permits and ensured compliance with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding requirements. This project not only revitalized the creek but also strengthened community resilience, enhancing both environmental health and public safety.
