Located in the heart of the NIH campus, the newly constructed Building J Microscopy Facility spans an impressive lower level designed to enhance cutting-edge scientific research. Calibre provided civil design and construction services for this facility, which integrates RML’s Microscopy and AMOB functions while accommodating NIH Police and IT support staff.

A unique feature of this project is the expansive 2-story high space that allows for the installation of advanced Titan Krios and Cryo-EM microscopes, ensuring future growth in research capabilities. The layout includes individually shielded microscope rooms connected by a central corridor, optimized for safety and functionality.
