Calibre provided civil engineering services for the Kansas City VA Medical Center with an 11,601 SF addition and a 200-SF renovation, enhancing the main ambulatory radiation therapy clinic in the Kansas City area. Our services included construction documentation, project design coordination, and adherence to VA Design Criteria, ensuring technical accuracy throughout the process.
A standout feature of this project was the ground-level vault specifically designed to house a state-of-the-art linear accelerator and a new CT simulator, with future vertical expansion capabilities for a planned phase II that will add five additional floors. This new facility significantly improves access to advanced radiation therapy for veterans in the community, enhancing their healthcare experience.
Calibre’s commitment to quality and meticulous planning added immense value, creating a safe and efficient environment that not only meets current healthcare needs but also anticipates future growth for the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
