The Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre is a premier facility that underwent a transformative upgrade to enhance its renowned whitewater slalom channels. This project was delivered in under two months by Calibre’s Whitewater Team. Our services included cutting-edge computer flow modeling, which allowed for a precise redesign while preserving the existing course’s popular features, particularly the “muncher” section.
A unique aspect of this project was the implementation of a moveable obstacle system, enabling dynamic course adjustments for diverse events. The upgraded facility successfully hosted the European Championships in its first season, bolstering community engagement in water sports and fostering local tourism.
