Calibre provided civil engineering services for the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, located in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, covering a significant 463.3-acre site. This project involved the development of approximately 10 acres of currently undeveloped land to create additional burial facilities, ensuring continued service for eligible veterans and their dependents for the next 15 years. Our team provided comprehensive engineering services, adhering to the National Cemetery Administration’s Facilities Design Guide to create efficient casketed, double-depth, pre-placed crypts, along with new cremation sites.
By enhancing burial capacity with approximately 20,525 gravesites, we enabled the cemetery to extend its operational lifespan and support the community’s veteran population of over 206,000. Calibre Engineering’s strategic planning and creative solutions not only optimized land use but also ensured essential infrastructure improvements, ultimately reinforcing the cemetery’s commitment to honoring those who served. This project underscores our dedication to impactful community service and sustainable development.
