Calibre’s Whitewater Team sought to enhance the Supply Irrigating Ditch Company’s diversion structure on St. Vrain Creek. Tasked with integrating environmental sustainability and recreational value, we designed a grouted rock ramp that upheld the ditch’s decreed flow while ensuring safe fish passage. This multipurpose structure features a low-flow fish passage channel and strategically designed interstitial spaces to aid aquatic life during varying water levels.
Spanning a critical area impacted by severe erosion from the September 2013 flood, our solution not only restored the channel but also created recreational amenities for local users. By obtaining all necessary permits and collaborating closely with stakeholders, Calibre delivered a functional and community-enhancing project that underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship.
