Eagle River Park is designed to attract summer visitors and promote outdoor recreation. Situated along a calm section of the Eagle River, the park showcases a world-class whitewater venue while enhancing local habitats. Developed through extensive public collaboration and in cooperation with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the project includes four drop structures and a cross-vain diversion structure.
The first two drop structures have a fish and boater bypass channel, while the last two incorporate a low-flow fish notch. The design includes habitat boulders and components that allow for flow adjustments over time. With spectator viewing areas, judging platforms, and accessible ramps, the park caters to diverse users and is suitable for local and regional events. Calibre’s Whitewater Team completed all project planning, design, permitting, and construction oversight.
