Expanding burial capacity with dignity, honoring veterans through sustainable design at Cape Canaveral.

Calibre managed the Phase 2 Expansion of Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Florida, a significant $25 million project covering 30 acres. Our services included master planning, design development, and construction documentation, ensuring a seamless construction process. The expansion will enhance cemetery capabilities by adding 32,200 new gravesites to accommodate the approximately 297,635 veterans in the surrounding 75-mile area.

Unique features of the project include oversized casket sections, memorial walls, and sustainable landscaping, all designed to honor those who have served. Moreover, Calibre implemented engineering solutions to maximize interment areas while preserving natural habitats and mitigating environmental impact. By optimizing existing infrastructure and addressing previously identified deficiencies, we delivered significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency. This project not only expands vital burial capacities but also strengthens Calibre’s commitment to serving the veteran community with care and respect.
